Objective:1. To detect expression of apoptosis inhibitory protein Livin,Survivin in prostatecancer tissue and benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue by immunohistochemicalstaining method, study expression of Livin,Survivin in prostate cancer tissue andbenign prostatic hyperplasia tissue and its significance,Judge whether Livin,Survivinis ideal tumor standard for prostate cancer and provide a new target for the diagnosisand treatment of prostate cancer.2. To investigate the relationship of expression ofLivin, survivin and clinical stage or Gleason score in prostate cancer and thecorrelation of Livin and Survivin,to detect expression of Livin,Survivin in prostatecancer tissue, auxiliary judge the degree of malignancy and the progress of prostatecancer.3. To detect expression of Caspase-3in prostate cancer and benign prostatichyperplasia, investigate the correlation of Livin, Survivin and Caspase-3.Methods:Collected35cases of pathologically confirmed paraffin-embedded specimens ofprostate cancer tissue by surgical resection or transrectal prostate biopsy,15cases ofpathologically confirmed paraffin-embedded specimens of prostate hyperplasiatissue by surgical resection in our hospital.By immunohistochemical staining methodto detect expression of Livin, Survivin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer and benignprostatic hyperplasia,to analysis:(1)the difference of expression of Livin, Survivin inprostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue.(2)the relationship ofexpression of Livin, survivin and clinical stage or Gleason score in prostate cancer.(3)the correlation of Livin, Survivin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue.therelationship of Prostate cancer tissue of Livin, Survivin expression and clinical stageof prostate cancer, the relationship between the pathological Gleason score, as wellas of Livin, Survivin and of Caspase-3.Results:1. Relationship of Livin and prostate cancer The positive expression rates of Livin were94.29%(33/35) in prostate cancer and80%(12/15) in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue. Expression of Livin was nosignificant difference in prostate cancer tissue and prostatic hyperplasia tissue(P>0.05). Expression of Livin in prostate cancer was unrelated with preoperativePSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score and clinical stage (P>0.05).2. Relationship of Survivin and prostate cancerThe positive expression rates of Survivin were82.86%(29/35)in prostate cancer and26.67%(4/15)in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue. Expression of Survivin inprostate cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in prostatic hyperplasia tissue(P<0.05).Expression of Survivin in prostate cancer was unrelated with preoperativePSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score and clinical stage (P>0.05).3. Relationship of Caspase-3and prostate cancerThe positive expression rates of Caspase-3were20%(7/35)in prostate cancer and60%(9/15)in benign prostatic hyperplasia tissue. Expression of Caspase-3inprostate cancer tissue was significantly lower than that in prostatic hyperplasia tissue(P<0.05). Expression of Caspase-3in prostate cancer was unrelated withpreoperative PSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score and clinical stage(P>0.05).4. Correlation of Livin and SurvivinExpression of Livin and Survivin was no correclation in prostate cancer tissue.(P>0.05).5. Correlation of Livin and Caspase-3Expression of Livin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue was negative correlation(P<0.05).6. Correlation of Survivin and Caspase-3Expression of Survivin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue was negativecorrelation(P<0.05).Conclusions:1. The expression of Livin were raised, but no significant difference in benignprostatic hyperplasia tissue and prostate cancer tissue. Livin may play an important role in the occurrence of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia byinhibiting apoptosis. However, Livin in the identification of prostatic tissue of benignand malignant aspect had no significant role. Expression of Livin in prostate cancerwas unrelated with preoperative PSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score andclinical stage. It was showed that expression of Livin was unrelated with the degree ofmalignancy, the development trends and prognostic factors of prostate cancer.2. Expression of Survivin in prostate cancer tissue was significantly higher than thatin prostatic hyperplasia tissue. Survivin may play an important role in the occurrenceof prostate cancer. Expression of Survivin in prostate cancer was unrelated withpreoperative PSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score and clinical stage. Itwas showed that expression of Livin was unrelated with the degree of malignancy, thedevelopment trends and prognostic factors of prostate cancer.3. Expression of Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue was significantly lower than thatin prostatic hyperplasia tissue. The expression of Caspase-3was low in prostatecancer tissue, its proapoptotic role may be inhibited in the occurrence of prostatecancer. Expression of Caspase-3in prostate cancer was unrelated with preoperativePSA, whether distant metastases, Gleason score and clinical stage. It was showed thatexpression of Caspase-3was unrelated with the degree of malignancy, thedevelopment trends and prognostic factors of prostate cancer.4. Expression of Livin and Survivin was no correclation in prostate cancer tissue, showing that they may have different mechanisms in the process of inhibition ofapoptosis.5. Expression of Livin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue was negativecorrelation, showing that they may have a common mechanism in the process ofapoptosis.6. Expression of Survivin and Caspase-3in prostate cancer tissue was negativecorrelation, showing that they may have a common mechanism in the process ofapoptosis.
