Study On Effects Of Licorice Zinc For Treatment Of Minor Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer

Purpose:(1)To compare the difference of serum zinc content between the Minor Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer (MiRAU) patients and heathy people.(2)To observe the efficacy of licorzinc on MiRAU patients.Objects and methods:(1) Select40patients as the experimental group and choose40heathy people as control group from Jul,2009to Nov,2009. Detect the content of serum zinc by Atomic absorption method.(2) Select160patients with MiRAU from Nov,2009to Feb,2012, and were randomly divided into3groups:the control group of40patients were locally spraied Watermelon Frost;60patients as zinc gluconate group were given zinc gluconate orally in a dose of10ml two times daily for2months, and at the same time used Watermelon Frost; the other60patients as licorzinc group, which were given the licorzinc orally in a dose of250mgl two times daily for2months, while locally given Watermelon Frost. Then compare the treatment effects about the three methods.Result:(1) The serum zinc content of experimental group was69.02±6.37umol/L, lower than that of the control group, whose the content of serum zinc97.72±14.52umol/L. The difference was statistically significant. (2) The total effective rate of control group was17.95%, the zinc gluconate group was66.12%, and the licorzinc group was84.48%. The difference of effects was statistically significant.Conclusion:(1)The content of serum zinc of MiRAU patients is lower than that of the healthy people. There may be a certain relationship between the lack of zinc and the happeniss of MiRAU.(2)The effects of the licorzinc used on MiRAU was better than that of the zinc gluconate. It is worthy of clinical popularization.
