Objective: To raise the recognition of drug-resistant gestational trophoblasticneoplasia (GTN), we analysed the clinical features and therapy effect of drug-resistantGTN. In this paper, we discussed the best treatment of drug-resistant GTN andresearched its clinical experience for raising healing rate of this disease. Methods: During2002and2011,68patients have been treated in DalianObstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, and15of these patients were drug-resistant GTN.The clinical data of15cases was retrospectively studied.Results:15cases of drug-resistant GTN included12of invasive mole and3ofchoriocarcinoma.12patients were low risk GTN and3patients were high risk GTN.13cases were single drug tolerance and2cases were multi-drug resistance. Pulmonarymetastases were found in3of12cases of invasive mole and2of3cases ofchoriocarcinoma.15cases of drug-resistant GTN were mainly treated by chemotherapy.Among them, there were10cases treated by chemotherapy and5cases treated bychemotherapy and operation. The treatment efficiency of the two methods both reachedto100%.Conclusion: The drug-resistant GTN are mainly treated by chemotherapy. Wechose the treatment measures from person to person. For the metastatic lesion in theuterus and other parts of the body, we associated the chemotherapy with uterussurgeries or other metastatic sites of solitary drug-resistant Lesions resection toimprove the prognosis of patients.
