Objective:The development of Laser in situ keratomileusis has been nearly twodecades in China, while the developmental history of laser keratectomy over the worldhas been more than thirty years.LASIK is recognized as the ideal method to correct avariety of refractive errors and the surgical approach used most widely in clinicalwork, due to its advantages of shorter operative time, faster recovery time, lesspostoperative pain, less postoperative reaction, strong postoperative safety stabilityand so on.The mechanism of corneal wound healing after LASIK is an important partof studies about predicting postoperative clinical results.Corneal wound healing is anextremely complex and highly coordinated process can be divided into threedifferent and intertwined stages incluing local inflammatory response, cellproliferation and tissue reconstruction. In this process involves the interaction andmutual influence of the various growth factors and cytokines, which involved in theregulation of cell migration, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, matrix depositionand tissue shape. The role of various cytokines and growth factors through the entirecorneal wound healing process forms an organic network system.Comprehendingfurther the role of various cytokines and growth factors in corneal wound healing afterLASIK is the great guiding significance for understanding the mechanism of thereaction and better clinical prediction after LASIK.In this experiment, quantitative analys the content of hepatocyte growth factor(HGF) in the tears before and after LASIK,to identify the short-term changes ofhepatocyte growth factor(HGF) in tears before and after laser in situkeratomileusis(LASIK)and to investigate the effect of HGF on cornea woundhealing. Methods:Randomly collected the tears specimen of60eyes of30patientsperformed by LASIK in our hospital from April2011to July2011,and the enzyme linked imunasorbent assay(ELISA) method was used to quantitatively measure theconcentration of cytokines in the tears specimen was collected of preoperatively and1d,3d,7d,14d and1mon postoperatively. Results:The expression of HGF in tears increased significantly on1d(775.42±96.96)pg/ml,3d(612.38±80.72)pg/ml,7d(390.25±121.68)pg/ml,14d(253.52±45.69)pg/ml after operation compared to preoperative levels(199.12±25.46)pg/ml(P<0.05),sepcially the1d and3d postoperatively(P<0.01).There was no significantdiference in the concentration of HGF in tears between preoperative and one month(200.75±31.46)pg/ml postoperatively(P>0.05).Conclusion:There was a shot-time increase of HGF levels in tears afterLASIK,suggesting that HGF involves in the process of cornea wound healing.
