| ObjectivesTo evaluate the efficacy and safety of Reinforcing Kidney and Activating Blood Circulation of Chinese Herbal Medicine by comparison with western medicine on treatment of Polyeystic Ovary Syndrome infertility of Kidney-deficiency and blood stasis, in order to provide evidence for clinical study.MethodsThe randomly compared researching method was used. All cases were randomly devided into two groups,30cases in the treatment group and30cases in the control group. From the fifth day of menstruation, give the30cases in the treatment group the Reinforcing Kidney and Activating Blood Circulation of Chinese herbal medicine (tusizi, sangjisheng, chuanduan,gouqizi,jixueteng, nvzhenzi,zelan,puhuang, danggui, chuanniuxi,yim ucao,chishao,danshen), one day a dose and twice one day for14-days continually. From the fifth day of menstruation, give the30cases in control group Clomiphene Citrate,50mg or100mg once daily. And take medicine5-days. Meanwhile monitor Basal Body Temperature, transvaginal sonography and hormone (Follicle Stimulating Hormone, Luteinizing Hormone, Testosterone, Estrogen, Prolactin, Insulin). Compare with these indexes (ovulation rate, zhenghou, BBT, transvaginal sonography and sex hormone) in the experiment group and in the control group in order to observe the clinical efficacy.Results(l)Reinforcing Kidney and Activating Blood Circulation of Chinese herbal medicine for PCOS infertility:in the treatment group the total effective rate is86.67%, the pregnancy rate is56.67%, the ovulation rate is61.00%; in the control group the total effective rate is73.33%, the pregnancy rate is30.00%, the ovulation rate is72.84%, there is significant difference between the treatment group and control group on the pregnancy and the ovulation rate.(2)There is significant difference on most syndrome but "hirsutism" between prior-treatment and post-treatment respectively in the treatment group, meanwhile there is significant difference on the syndrome score between the treatment group and the control group at post-treatment. However, there is no significant difference on each syndrome between prior-treatment and post-treatment respectively in the control group, especially "fatigue" and "frequent urination " and "hirsutism".(3)There is significant difference for FSH, LH, E2, T, PRL, INS in the treatment group, the hormone of FSH and E2increased and LH, T, PRL, INS decreased after treatment; there is significant difference for FSH and E2in the control group, while no significant difference for LH, T, PRL and INS between prior-treatment and post-treatment.(4)There is significant difference for the number of the follicle, the volume of the ovary and endometrium between prior-treatment and post-treatment in the treatment group, also between the two groups.(5)The recovery rate of BBT in the treatment group if80.00%, while53.33%in the control group. There is significant difference between the two groups.ConclusionsWe found that the Reinforcing Kidney, Activating Blood Circulation and Ovarian Stimulation of Chinese herbal medicine could regulate gonadotrophic hormone and insulin, promote the follicular development and endometrium growth, thus improve the ovulation Rate and the Pregnancy Rate. Meanwhile, it could make body balance between yin and yang, qi and blood circulation, viscera function coordination, thus improve the clinical symptoms of patients and enhance the life quality of the patients. |
