Objective:To analysis and verify the specificity and susceptibility for carotid duplex ultrasonography (CDU) and transcranial doppler (TCD) diagnostic value to adult ischemic patients with moyamoya disease.Methods:Summarized54cases of Ischemic Cerebrovascular Disease (ICVD) in Tianjin HUANHU Hospital (January,2010to December,2012).clinical examination of in the hospital by digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and/or magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) and30cases of diagnosed patients with moyamoya disease carotid ultrasonography (CDU) study found that patients with internal carotid artery diameter slender. Analysis of the CDU and the TCD characteristics, and compared with the DSA results analysis. Result:Moyamoya disease group has significant differences(P<0.05) with control group in internal carotid artery diameter, internal carotid artery flow velocity, vertebral artery diameter, vertebral artery flow velocity, ratio of internal carotid artery diameter and external carotid artery diameter. The transcranial doppler (TCD) change of moyamoya disease group have certain relevance with DSA staging. There were significant differences (P<0.05) among the patients of bilateral internal carotid artery diameter slender group, unilateral group and the control group. Conclusion:Carotid Duplex Ultrasound (CDU) and Transcranial Doppler (TCD) in the preliminary diagnosis of moyamoya disease have a positive meaning, TCD can also serve as the confirmed inspection means of long-term follow-up of patients with moyamoya disease.
