Objective:To investigate main risk factors and the main methods of the screening of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease (AICVD).Methods:470cases with AICVD and280cases with control group(exclude cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases) enrolled in the neurologic department of the second hospital of Lanzhou University were selected.14kinds of factors as age, sex, hypertension, diabetes, cerebrovascular ischemia, history of cerebrovascular ischaemia, history of coronary heart disease, hypercholesteremia, atrial fibrillation, cerebrovascular disease, family history, smoking, alcohol consumption, carotid atherosclerosis and positive result in TCD were compared and was analyzed with the simple logistic analysis. Then4factors were analyzed with the multiple Logistic analysis.Result:The proportion of abnormal results of Age, alcohol consumption, hypertension, history of cerebrovascular ischaemia, hypercholesteremia, carotid atherosclerosis, the plaques observed by carotid duplex ultrasound and the positive result by TCD in AICVD group are higher than control group (P<0.05). Multivariable correlation analysis shows age, hypertension, carotid atherosclerosis, positive result by TCD are risk factors of AICVD.Conclusion:Age,alcohol consumption, hypertension, cerebrovascular ischaemia history, hypercholesteremia, carotid atherosclerosis, positive result in TCD are probably risk factors of AICVD. The plaques observed by carotid duplex ultrasound and the abnormal results founded by TCD were closely related to AICVD, which were the risk factors of AICVD The carotid duplex ultrasound and transcranial Doppler(TCD) have important practical value to AICVD screening. Objective:Acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease is a disease of high prevalence, morbidity, mortality. The current views that of acute ischemic cerebrovascular disease extra-cranial carotid artery disease has become a growing cause. Through the analysis by our data, the carotid atherosclerosis is the independent risk factor to acute ischemic cerebrovascular. We purpose investigating the main risk factors of carotid atherosclerosis. Methods:The duplex color Doppler examination was employed to measure carotid atherosclerosis in1294patients of the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University. Subsequently, univariate and multivariate analysis were adopted to select the relevant risk factors. Results:Under univariate analysis, carotid atherosclerosis was significantly associated with gender, age, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, amaurosis fugax, excessive drinking, WBC (white blood cell count), RDW-SD (Standard Deviation in Red Distribution Width), RDW-CV (Coefficient Variation in Red Distribution Width), PDW (platelet distribution width). Further analysis using multivariate analysis, however, excluded amaurosis fugax, leaving only the final list of risk factors: gender, age, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, excessive drinking, WBC, RDW-SD, RDW-CV and PDW.Conclusions:The study shows that screening of risk factors could play an important role in the prevention of carotid atherosclerosis.
