Objective:study the dispersion of nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2in the silicone rubber prosthesis after surface modified;add different mass fraction of nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2after surface modified in the silicone rubber prosthesis, research the antimicrobial properties of candida albicans.Materials and methods:Experiment one:Respectively added surface modified nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2into silicone rubber by the mass fraction of1%,2%,3,4%, added not surface modified nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2of silicone rubber as the control group,divided into4groups, each group of8samples, a total of32; observed the dispersion of four nano TiO2in the silicone rubber under the scanning electron microscopy.Experiment two:admeasured the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of four kinds of nano TiO2on candida albicans. Experiment three:respectively added the four kinds of nano TiO2into the silicone rubber by the mass fraction of1%,2%,3,4%, divided into4groups, each group of24samples, a total of96, under the shading condition and light condition, test the antibacterial rate of four nano TiO2silicone rubber samples on candida albicans.Results:experiment one:Added the mass fraction of1%to2%nano TiO2mass fraction of nano TiO2, antibacterial silicone rubber samples did not see obvious reunion, added mass fraction of nano TiO2wass greater than2%, the antibacterial silicone rubber samples began to appear reunion, and with the increase of mass fraction of nano TiO2, reunion obviously; added the mass fraction of1%to4%nano TiO2after surface modified, antibacterial silicone rubber samples did not see obvious reunion; added mass fraction of1%to3%Ag-embedded nano TiO2, antibacterial silicone rubber samples did not see obvious reunion, added mass fraction of4%Ag-embedded nano TiO2, silicone rubber samples appeared reunion; added the mass fraction of1%to4%Ag-embedded nano TiO2after surface modified, antibacterial silicone rubber samples did not see obvious reunion.Experiment two:the MBC of nano TiO2and nano TiO2after surface modified against candida albicans were both40mg/L, the MBC of Ag-embedded nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2after surface modified against candida albicans were both40m g/L.Experiment three:under the lighting condition and shading condition,both nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2had inhibitory effect on candida albicans, when the mass fraction of antibacterial agent in the range of1%-3%, the antibacterial rate of silicone rubber increased with the increase of mass fraction, but when the mass fraction was4%, antibacterial rate declined; added the same mass fraction of antibacterial, antimicrobial properties under light condition was better than under the shading condition, the antimicrobial properties of Ag-embedded nano TiO2was better than nano TiO2, nano TiO2after surface modified was better than nano TiO2not sueface modified, Ag-embedded nano TiO2after surface modified was better than Ag-embedded nano TiO2not sueface modified.Conclusion:1. After surface modified, the dispersion of nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2in the silicone rubber prosthesis was improved obviously.2. The MBC of nano TiO2and Ag-embedded nano TiO2against candida albicans were the same with the nano antibacterial agent after sueface modified.3. The antimicrobial properties of Ag-embedded nano TiO2was better than nano TiO2both under shading condition and sunlight condition.4. After sueface modified,the antimicrobial properties of nano TiO2silicone rubber was improved obviously,and added Ag-embedded nano TiO2after sueface modified into silicone rubber, the antibacterial effect was best.
