ObjectiveTo analyse the effect that RA and5-FU treat HepG2、human normal liver cells7702, respectively. TO investigate that rosmarinic acid enhance the efficacy of5-FU against hepatocelluar carcinoma and reduce the toxicity on human normal liver cells7702.MethodsMTT assay is used to verify the effect on hepatoma carcinoma cells HepG2and human normal liver cells HL7702caused by rosmarinic acid and5-FU. Observe the morphological change of hepatoma carcinoma cells HepG2by AO/EB staining assay. Use the flow cytometry to detect the apoptosis of hepatoma carcinoma cells HepG2be treated with rosmarinic acid.ResultsBoth rosmarinic acid and5-FU can inhibit the growth of hepatoma carcinoma cells HepG2. The observed result of AO/EB staining and flow cytometry demonstrate rosmarinic acid can cause apoptosis of HepG2cells. Rosmarinic acid can enhance the efficacy of5-FU on HepG2cells and reduce the dosage of5-FU when rosmarinic acid and5-FU treat HepG2cells continued for24h.In addition, rosmarinic acid can increase the cell viability and reduce the toxicity of5-FU on human normal liver cells HL7702.Conclusion1. Rosmarinic acid can induce apoptosis of HepG2cells and enhance the efficacy of5-FU on HepG2cells.2.Rosmarinic acid can protect HL7702cells and reduce the cytotoxicity caused by5-FU.
