Objective:Through the review survey of survival of advanced colorectalcancer, analyze the role of Chinese and Western medicine treatment and Western medicinetreatment on the survival of patients with advanced colorectal cancer, to explore therelated factors that affect the prognosis of advanced colorectal cancer, and providereference for advanced colorectal cancer treatment options. Methods:Retrospective studyof106patients received conbined treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Westernmedicine of advanced colorectal cancer in Xinjiang Autonomous Region Hospital ofTraditional Chinese Medicine from January1,2009to2012January1,taking XinjiangTumor Hospital receiving western medicine treatment in106patients with advancedcolorectal cancer patients as control group,to observe the median survival time of patientsand related factors that affect prognosis.Application of SPSS19.0software for statisticalprocessing, for univariate survival analysis using the Kaplan-Meier method, thestatistically significant variables, using the Cox proportional hazard model screened factorsthat have an effect on survival time, all the results were considered statistically significantin P<0.05.Results:The median survival time of Chinese and Western medicine group was28months, the median survival time of the Western medicine group was24months;Integrative Medicine in the group1,2,3year survival rates were95%,61%,41%,western medicine group1,2,3year survival rates were82%,46%,25%. Univariatesurvival analysis showed that histological grade, liver metastasis, the number oftransferring organs, clinical stages, KPS score before treatment and method of treatmenthas an effect on the prognosis in patients with advanced colorectal cancer, then afterentering the multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that histological grade, clinicalstages, KPS score before treatment and method of treatment are still statisticalsignificance.Conclusion:1.The median survival time of the integrated Chinese andWestern medicine group than western medicine group prolonged4months, and in improving the long-term survival rate of the patients, the Integrated Traditional Chineseand Western Medicine group advantage the western medicine group.2.Histological grade, clinical stages, KPS score before treatment and method of treatment are independentprognostic factors of survival time of advanced colorectal cancer.
