Objective:To investigate correlation and clinical significance of EGFR mutation andHER2expression in non-small cell lung cancer.Methods:86cases of non-small cell lungcancer paraffin specimens were firstly detected by21kinds of human EGFR genemutation detection kits, then tested the expression of HER2by picture immunohistochemical reagents. Analyze correlation and gefitinib(IRESSA) efficacy’relactionship of EGFR mutation and her2expression. Results: EGFR gene mutation rate was44.20%,HER2overexpression-rate was39.50%in non-small cell lung cancer. There was apositive correlation in EGFR mutation and HER2overexpression with the correlationcoefficient(r=043). Overall remission rate in no EGFR mutation or no HER2overexpression patients to gefitinib were8.33%and23.10%; Overall remission rate inEGFR mutation or HER2overexpressing patients were68.42%and57.90%,it wassignificantly higher than in no EGFR mutation or no HER2overexpression Patients(P=0.00).HER2overexpression and no overexpression patient’s media PFS were6.5months and4.0months respectively (P=0.06),there is no correlation between HER2overexpression and Progress free survival.EGFR gene mutations with HER2overexpression to IRESSA are more sensitive. Conclusion: EGFR and HER2involve inthe development of non-small cell lung cancer. EGFR mutation combine with HER2overexpressions is a significant predictor for IRESSA efficacy in advanced NSCLCprobablely....
