A growing number of health care workers and patients pay attention to the dentalinstruments pathogenic microbial contamination problem, our quality control is mainlyfocused on the disinfection of oral instrument pathogenic microbial contamination such asmouth mirrors, tweezers, probes, and we have achieved remarkable results in China. But itis disadvantaged that disinfection methods, long work hours, high energy consumption, lowefficiency in varying degrees. The purpose of this study is to investigate of the commonlyused oral instrument pathogenic microorganisms in a large general dentistry hospital, tounderstand the status of pathogenic microbial contamination of dental instruments inChongqing district medical institutions, in addition, the risk of iatrogenic infection, in orderto invent an efficient, fast, economic oral disinfection device.Research Methods1. Smear sampling of the curved plate, tweezers, probes, mouth mirrors, bur and toothforceps instrument in the department of stomatology of a local large general hospitaldentistry; detect the indicators of HBsAg,HbeAg,HBV-DNA,HBsAg and HBeAg weredetected by CL method, HBV-DNA was detected by realtime fluores-cence quantitativePCR。2. Based on the findings of dental instruments pathogenic microorganisms pollution, tostudy the shape and interior design of oral commonly used light disinfection device, Selectthe efficient, energy-saving light wave tube.The effect of light disinfection and thequalification test are performed in accordance with the edition2002of disinfectiontechnical specifications[1]。Result1. HBsAg positive rate of curved plate, tweezers, probes, mouth mirrors, bur and toothextraction forceps is6.5%,7.3%,10.0%,8.6%,9.3%,11.3%respectively, the averagepositive rate is8.8%, tooth forcepsthe is the highest; HBeAg positive rate of curved plate, tweezers, probes, mouth mirrors, bur and tooth extraction forceps is0.0.6%,0.9%,1.9%,0.9%,1.6%respectively, the average positive rate is0.9%; mouth mirror is thehighest(1.9%);the second is tooth forceps(1.6%); HBV-DNA positive rate of these sixinstruments is7.3%,9.0%,12.3%,11.3%,10.7%,13.0%;the average positive rate is10.6%;tooth forceps is the highest(13.0%).2. Oral commonly used light disinfection device is constituted by the fans, PTCheaters, light pipe, control panels, power panels, temperature sensors, ultraviolet germicidallamp. The role of lightwave thermal effect and the non-thermal effect, via the light wavereflector focusing, to achieve rapid sterilize effect, induce bacteria eventually die. It is amore thorough and more quickly effect.3. Detection the effectof light disinfection device and identification of physical andchemical properties1) UV intensity measurement results: start the sterilizer1minute, UV intensity ofSterilizer is885μW/cm2. Its intensity gradually increased with the time running, thehighest strength is2000W/cm2in5minutes.2) Temperature measurement result: sterilizer temperature reaches137℃afterrunning the sterilizer3minutes. It reaches a maximum value of161℃until5minutes; thetemperature gradually decreased after3minutes with the machine stopped.3) Metal corrosion test results: to judge the light disinfection device accumulated run72h in accordance with the specification standard, almost no corrosion of stainless stee,corrosion rate is0.0000mm/a; moderate corrosion of copper, carbon steel,corrosion rate is0.1133mm/a,0.2945mm/a respectively; mild corrosion of the aluminum,corrosion rate is0.0552mm/a.4) HBsAg antigen is destroyed with lightwave sterilizer running3min. HBV fragmentis undetectable with disinfection1minute in smear sample use RT-PCR.5) Killing rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcusaureus is100%with lightwave sterilizer running3minutes.6) Killing rate of Candida albicans is100%with lightwave sterilizer running3minutes.7) Killing rate of Bacillus subtilis is100%with lightwave sterilizer running5minutes.Conclusion1. It is very serious that pathogenic microbial contamination of dental equipment in the department of stomatology of a large general hospital, Chongqing, especially tooth forceps,mouth mirror.2. The Oral commonly used light disinfection device is an efficient, fast, suitable, newmachine, be able to better meet the needs of the clinical work.
