| Lijiang County is a region mixed with all kinds of populations, wherefull of ethnic characteristics and11native peoples live. The populationsof minority nationality is70.687million and accounts for56.79%of totalpopulation. The main nation is Naxi peoples who is famous for his Naxicivilization, and accounts for19.33%. The natural conditions of Lijiangarea’s is unique and situates an area between the Hengduan Mountainscanyon and northwest of Yunnan plateau monsoon climate zone, wherethe temperature varies with the elevation of the level. Various Chineseherbal medicines grow very well here due to the unique climate that threekinds of climate containing frigid, temperate and tropic zone climate existand the complex vegetation, also multiple soil type, so people give thisplace a good name Medical materials Village. Though Lijiang County istypical region filled with minority nationality and locates in border areasin China, we find, the people here didn’t contradict the application of theChinese Traditional Medicine (TCM) due to the difference of the custom,on the contrary, they accepted the TCM with a good grace and promote the development of TCM in this special areas.The outreach of the medical system of TCM, which reflecting theunity of Chinese civilization has covered the various ethnic and folkmedicine caused by the interaction of the various ethnic groups and thegreat Chinese civilization fusion force for thousands years. On account ofthe vast geographical differences in China, it’s necessary to pay attentionto the heritage of TCM in Lijiang, a unique area.During the long-term struggling with the disease process, peoples ofall ethnic groups in Lijiang Co. have accumulated a wealth of practicalexperience. Usage and effect of many animals, plant and mineral herbalwas recorded in the Dongba, which reflects the unique nationalcharacteristics and local characteristics in many ways. So it’s no doubtthat the interaction between TCM and the Naxi Dongba medicine benefitseach other. One should abide by the following law of TCM during theclinical practice that it is adjust measures to local conditions, treatment inaccordance with seasonal conditions, and treatment chosen according tothe variability of an individual. According to the law above, manyscholars had done some researches and summary on local medicine andDoctor’s theories, just as medicine in Lingnan, ethnic medicine of theThree Gorges and the Medicine of Shangri-La. All kinds of relatedresearches had been discussed usefully on the heritage of TCM indifferent parts and the fusion among the different national medicine in one area. After useful study, more and more people pay much attention tothe heritage of TCM in different fields or indigenous research of TCM,which will play a very important role in systematization and theorizationof TCM. At the same time, It also promotes the development of TCM andimproves the level of ethnic medicine theory on the heritage of TCM indifferent parts and the fusion among the different national medicine insome areas.This project will make a great progress on regional study of TCM, thepoint of which is to study the heritage and the fusion with Dongbamedicine in Lijiang County. By the complete of this project, we can getwhat and how the relationship is among specifical areas, people andmedicine. Meanwhile, it will also promote the fusion among TCM, folkand herbal medicine, share of medicine resources, and urge rationaldevelopment of TCM and Dongba medicine during multiple interactionsin Lijiang areas. |
