Compliance Analysis Of Endocrine Therapy For Breast Cancer

Objective: Through a survey of the compliance of oral endocrine drugs forbreast cancer patients, the factor, which affects the compliance of oral endocrinedrugs for breast cancer patients, will be analyzed, and a practicalcountermeasure, which improves the compliance, will also be given.Methods:Retrospectively analyze those new breast cancer patients, from AffiliatedCancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, who have been pathologicallyconfirmed with endocrine therapy indications and complete clinical data, fromthe year of Jan1st2006to Dec31th2006. By using self-designed surveytabulation,310effective cases were conducted through telephone follow-up.First, variables like name, nation, occupation, degree of education, obstetricalhistory, feeding history, family history, disease characteristics, endocrinetherapy condition, regular reexamination, works etc of310breast cancerpatients, whose compliance were good or bad, will be univariate-analyzed, afterwhich, logistic regression analysis will be adopted to variables which is ofsignificance.Results:With the extension of time, in these310breast cancerpatients, it is227patients whose compliance were good, which accounts for73.23%. The major factor that affects the compliance of endocrine therapy forbreast cancer patients includes associated with other diseases, endocrine drugs,side effects, occupation, periodic review, the drug level of understandin-g.Conclusion: A variety of factors will affect the compliance of cancer patientwho take oral endocrine drugs, countermeasures shall be taken according to theprevious factors to improve the compliance of endocrine therapy for breastcancer patients.
