Purpose1.to analysis the status of the adherence of adjuvant endocrine therapy for breast cancer in Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital.2.To investigate the relationship between the Chinese Medicine Utilization Rate(CMUR)and the compliance of adjuvant endocrine therapy for breast cancer.MethodsWe analysis 274 patients with breast cancer who underwent breast cancer surgery in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from January 2009 to december and start to initial endocrine therapy.126 cases with complete endocrine drugs and traditional Chinese medicine records were investigated by means of prescription records through the information section.Reading the records of endocrine medication and traditional Chinese Medicine from 2009~2015 by information section.Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007 to establish the table, data entry, automatic sum, average frequency and percentage by form formula and to describe the research object of general information, discontinue rate, the proportion of nonadherent, the average value of MPR and CMUR.Results1?In the investigated 126 patients undergoing breast cancer assisted endocrine therapy,51%(65/126)patients were treated with selective estrogen receptor modulators(SERM)(tamoxifen and toremifene),and 24%(30/126)were the aromatase inhibitor(AI)(including anastrozole, letrozole and exemestane),and 25%of them changed therapy(changing SERM for AI)(31/126).2?126 cases of breast cancer patients with adjuvant endocrine therapy were followed up successfully and the discontinue rate in the first years, third years and fifth years was:16%?24%?36%,respectively.Drug discontinuation rate increased year by year,64%of patients completed the endocrine therapy for 5 years regularly. The proportion of SERM group nonadherent in the 5th years was 20%?37%?45%respectively,higher than AI group, changing group and total.3.The proportion of poor overall compliance in the first year, the third year and the fifth year was 16%,27%,33%respectively.It increased year by year. The proportion of the SERM group in the third year(35%)and the fifth year(43%)was significantly higher than that in the AI group(3rd year:20%,5th year:23%)in AI group and the dressing group 3 years:16%,5th year:19%).4.The average MPR values for the first, third, and fifth year were 90%,85%,and 80%,respectively.Average 5 years MPR values in AI group and changing group were ? 80%,indicating that AI group and changing group medication compliance in 5 years was good.Only SERM group in the fifth yeas(74%)began to comply poorly.5?Among 126 patients investigated, the proportion of the high rate of taking Chinese medicine(HRTCM)group in the first and third year were 86.8%and 81.8%respectively.Over 80%patients had a high rate of taking Chinese medicine. The fifth year of HRTCM was 13.5%.The rate of taking Chinese medicine in the first and third year of patients were high, while in the fifth year,it began to greatly decrease.6?In the first and third year, the proportion of HRTCM group was over 80%and the proportion of good compliance was more than 80%.Although the proportion of HRTCM in the fifth year dropped to 13.5%,the proportion of compliance was still up to 100%,far greater than the low rate of taking Chinese medicine(LRTCM)group, which was 31%.The proportion of good compliance was much higher in the HRTCM group than that in the mediate rate of taking Chinese medicine(MRTCM)and LRTCM group.7.In the first, third and fifth year, the discontinuation rate of endocrine therapy was 73%,14.6%and 0%in the HRTCM group,66.7%,78.6%,70.7%in the LRTCM group. It was significantly lower in the HRTCM group than that in the LRTCM group.LRTCM group' s discontinuation rate range was less than 15%in 5 years. The higher the utilization rate of Chinese medicine, the lower the rate of endocrine therapy interruptionConclusion1?Our hospital TAM medication compliance was consistent with the level of domestic and foreign, and AI medication compliance was slightly higher than the level at home and abroad. Our hospital breast cancer assisted endocrine therapy compliance in the third year, the fifth year were higher than the level of domestic and foreign.2?Our hospital SERM group medication compliance was lower than AI group and changing group. It is needed to focus on patients taking SERM drugs and take measures to improve their compliance.3?The compliance rate was high and the endocrine therapy interruption rate was low when the rate of taking Chinese medicine was high. The use of Chinese medicine and breast cancer endocrine treatment compliance had a certain relevance. It is one of the feasible measures to improve endocrine compliance by managing endocrine therapy side effects through Chinese medicine...
