Objective: Selection of different concentrations of84disinfectant for disinfectingalginate impression soaked at different times to observe the inhibitory effect of bacteriumand dimensional stability, identify a suitable disinfection methods of alginate impressionfor clinical application. Methods: Preparation of alginate impression, respectively immersed in the configurationof Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Candida albicans fourkinds of bacterial suspension. Then respectively soaked in five84disinfectant of differentconcentrations of chlorine content, a total of20groups, each group has50impressions, atotal of1000impressions, the group observed inhibitory effect of each impression; Againrespectively soaked in five84disinfectant of different concentrations of chlorine content, each group has10impressions, a total of50impressions. Measuring the size of the beforeand after immerse, observed the size changes of each group’s impression.Results:(1) The chlorine concentration8000mg/L soak15min group, the chlorineconcentration2000mg/L for20min group and the chlorine concentration800mg/L for20min group, three groups’ impressions inhibitory effect of bacterium were better to abovefour bacteria, compare the sterilization rate of3groups, P>0.05, not statisticallysignificant; The chlorine concentration of400mg/L soak30min group and the chlorineconcentration200mg/L soak30min group, two groups’ impressions inhibitory effect ofbacterium were worse to above four bacteria, compare the sterilization rate of2groups, P<0.05, statistically significant; The chlorine concentration400mg/L soak30min groupand the chlorine concentration200mg/L soak30min group, respectively compare withother three groups of sterilization rate, P <0.05, statistically significant.(2) The chlorineconcentration8000mg/L soak15min group, the chlorine concentration2000mg/L soak20min group and the chlorine concentration800mg/L soak20min group, three groups of deformation rate are within0.26%-0.39%of range, compare size variation of before andafter immersion in each group, P>0.05, not statistically significant; The chlorineconcentration400mg/L soak30min group and the chlorine concentration200mg/L soak30min, two groups of deformation rate bigger than2.95%, compare size variation ofbefore and after immersion in each group, P <0.05, statistically significant.Conclusion:(1) The chlorine concentration of84disinfectant≥800mg/L, inhibitoryeffect is better to Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Candidaalbicans on the surface of alginate impression.(2) The time≤20min that84disinfectant disinfect alginate impression, the size of impression did not changesignificantly, the time is applicable to clinical practice.
