Hydroxyapatite has excellent biocompatibility and bioactivity because it is the maininorganic component of human bone tissue. Silicon is one of essential trace element innatural bone tissue which plays an vital role in bone differentiation and formation, Sosilicon is doped into pure HA to promote osteogenesis. Hydroxyapatite with differentsilicone concentration was synthesized with chemical precipitation method. Crystalstructure, element composition, functional group determination, surface morphology andcrystal morphology were detected by XRD, XRF, FTIR, SEM, and TEM. WST and SEMwere used to determine proliferation of cells on Si-HA. RT-PCR and Western-Blot wereconducted to measure protein expression in mRNA and protein level to evaluat effect ofSi-HA on bMSCs differentiation.XRD results show that crystal phase of HA is not affected when silicon concentrationis below2%. FTIR results reveal HA with different silicone concentration were fabricatedthat Silicone was integrated into the crystal in the form of silicate. Particle size of Si-HAdecreased with the increase of Si concentration by SEM.Si-HA was observed in shape ofneedle by TEM. RT-PCR and Western-Blot show that doping of silicone increaseexpression of ALP.COLI.OC.P4H protein and promote the process of osteogenesis.
