A Follow-up Study After Embolization Of Intracranial Aneurysms

Objective：Endovascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms is an important methods,mortality and morbidity are much smaller than surgical clipping and the effect isgood. But there are also some related literature reports its high recurrence rates,theexperiment is based on48cases of postoperative follow-up for embolizedpatients,evaluating the feasibility and efficacy in the endovascular treatment ofintracranial aneurysms. Evaluate the stability and validity of the intracranialaneurysms embolization, provide a theoretical basis for prevention and treatmentafter embolization.Methods：There are184patients with intracranial aneurysm embolization from2009.1to2013.1. There are48patients with appointments by telephone and reviewing bythemselves.There are30females and18males among the50aneurysms, and36cases of simple coil embolization and12cases of stent-assisted embolization. Doinga systematic analysis of their clinical data and iconography data after reviewing.Results:1. When the48patients are out of the hospital, including3cases of oculomotornerve palsy,1case with significant restriction in lifestyle, only patients with minorsymptoms, good effect in the clinical prognosis.2. The first time follow-up of50aneurysms: there are no recurrence in thefollow-up22aneurysms of3-4months,21aneurysms of7-8months follow-up,1aneurysms recanalization, the recurrence rate is4.76%. And there is no recurrencein5aneurysms of12month follow-up, just follow-up visit2aneurysms,more than16months and there is no recurrence. We should be period review, to avoid therecurrence of aneurysms rupture.3.Follow-up visit the second of9aneurysms,1aneurysm regrowth after24months, the regrowth rate is11.11%. 4.Short-term follow-up of50aneurysms, there were1aneurysm ofrecanalization and1aneurysm regrowth,recurrence rate of2.00%.5. There are15patients with hypertension in the16aneurysms,1aneurysm ofrecanalization, patients of hypertension have a higher recurrence rate after operation,should be strict control of blood pressure.6. Following up the50aneurysms,38aneurysms of simple coil embolization,1aneurysm of recanalization and1aneurysm regrow,12aneurysms of stent-assistedembolization, no recurrence in patients.7.There was no longer bleeding, cerebral ischemia, and fewer complicationsamong the patients of short-term follow-up8. MRA is a non-invasive examination,can be used as the preferred method forinitial review after.9. Skull X-ray DR check from the embolization of aneurysms,1patient hadrecanalization.Conclusion：1. Among the48patients of short-term follow-up, there are50aneurysms,1patient had recanalization and1aneurysm regrowth，the effectiveness is98%,recurrence rate is2.00%,which has good stability, good effect and fewercomplications.2. Skull X-ray DR check is a simple and effective method of short-term review.3. Results of short-term follow-up are satisfactory, the effect of stability and itscomplications need for further follow-up visits.
