Purpose:Through the method of pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA therapy, conduct a clinical research in GANWANGPISXU type child anorexia. To observe the clinical result of pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA therapy in GANWANGPISXU type child anorexia and so provide a new practical treatment method for child anorexia.Methods:All60cases are taken from Jiangsu province Chinese medicine hospital pediatric out patients’ department.All children are randomly divided into two groups, treatment group and control group,30in each group. Among them for the treatment group using pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA while the control group using oral proprietary Chinese medicine ZHUANGERYIN.Total treatment period is two weeks. Through observing the improved condition of main and others symptoms of child anorexia before and after treatment,we will find out the the differences of effects of two treatment methods.Results:The total cases taken was60in number, pricking SI FENG point combined with TUINA group30cases and oral proprietary Chinese medicine ZHUANG ER YIN group30cases.The base line results compare:pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA group and oral proprietary Chinese medicine group in age, sex,duration of disease, average weight, average height, the level of appetite etc main and other symptoms of anorexia before the treatment are no statistically difference (P>0.05), that is comparable. The results after treatment comparison: In treatment group, complete cure9cases,30%; markedly improved in9cases,30%; progress in10cases,33.33%; no effect in2cases,6,66%; the total effective rate is93.33%. In control group complete healed2cases,6.66%, markedly improved in3cases,10%; progress in17cases,56.66%; no effect in8cases,26.66%; the total effective rate is73.33%.The difference of curative effects of two groups is statistically significant,(P<0.05). Treatment group is superior than control group.Statistical analysis of two groups before and after treatment, Analysis on Main symptoms such as amount of food taken and other symptoms such as facial complexion and hyperactivity score between two groups comparison is (P<0.01),statistically very significant and main symptoms such as appetite and others symptoms such as irritation, stool disturbances and grinding teeth score between two groups comparison is (P<0.05),statistically significant. Indicates that both pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA group and oral proprietary Chinese medicine group are significantly effective in child anorexia. But pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA group is superior in main and others symptoms of anorexia than oral proprietary Chinese medicine group. Also there is no any significant unwanted side effect during the course of treatment.Conclusion:Through the clinical research, both pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA and oral proprietary Chinese medicine are significantly effective in GANWANGPISXU type child anorexia. But pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA treatment method is significantly superior than oral proprietary Chinese medicine ZHUANG ER YIN, Also pricking SI FENG points combined with TUINA treatment method is simple, easy, safe and effective, convenient and valuable treatment method of Chinese medicine.
