Objective:Understanding the nutritional status,the nutritional knowledge, the attitude andeating behavior of the female students,so as to supply scientific basis for improve thehealth level of the female college students.Method:Taking a health vocational college2011and2012grade levels female collegestudents in school as the research object, adopting the self-designed questionnaire onthe nutrition knowledge, nutritional attitudes, eating behavior questionnairesurvey;Body mass index (BMI) method is used to evaluate the female collegestudents’ nutritional status. The nutritional status of the female students anddemographic characteristics descriptive analysis; The nutritional status of differentdemographic characteristics compared with chi-square test; Different demographiccharacteristics among the nutrition knowledge, attitude and eating behaviors ofaverage comparison using t/F test; Nutrition knowledge score level compare with ranksum test; Using the Spearman correlation to analysis nutrition knowledge, attitude andeating behavior score.Results:(1)Among the female students investigated,there was20.84percent wasmalnutritive,13.45percent was overweight and fat. Female students no statisticallysignificant difference were observed in the distribution of nutritional status formdifferent grade, national, diet monthly expenses and parents of degree(p>0.05).Different background female students malnutrition, overweight and obesity groupdistribution differences were statistically significant (p <0.05);(2) The average of nutrition knowledge for female students is35.98±7.546,belongingto good grade.There are no significant differences in average of nutrition knowledgeform famale students of different grade, national, student of background, dietmonthly expenses and father’s education degree.There is a significant difference inaverage of nutrition knowledge form famale students of Mother’s education degree (p<0.05); Different grade, national and diet monthly expenses of the female college students’ nutrition knowledge score level comparison difference had no statisticalsignificances (p>0.05). There are significant difference in nutrition knowledge scorelevel form female students of different background and parents of degree(p <0.05);(3) The average of nutrition attitudes for female students is7.166±1.658.There arenot significant difference in average of nutrition attitudes form different demographiccharacteristics of the female students (p>0.05);(4) The average of eating behavio for female students is18.17±2.825. There are notsignificant difference in average of eating behavio form Different demographiccharacteristics of the female students (p>0.05);(5) There are positive correlation among the attitude to the nutrition, the nutritionalknowledge and the eating behavior(rs=0.094,P<0.001; rs=0.723,P<0.001). Nocorrelation between nutrition knowledge and eating behavior(rs=0.034,P=0.169).Conclusion:(1) The general condition about the nutritional status, the nutritional knowledge, theattitude to the nutrition and the eating behavior of the colleague students is good.While there are still some problems. Some female colleague students don’t know thecommon sense nutritional knowledge. The dietary structure of some others is notreasonable. Some of them ignore the breakfast or often eat the midnight snack, and soon. The rate of innutrition, the rate of overweight and the rate of obesity of the urbanfemale college students are higher than these of the country female college students.While the rate of normal nutritional level of the urban female college students is lowerthan that of the country female college students.(2) There are positive correlation between the attitude to the nutrition and thenutritional knowledge. There are positive correlation between the attitude to thenutrition and the eating behavior, too. Among them, the positive correlation betweenthe attitude to the nutrition and the eating behavior is strong. From here we see that, ifthe female college students have positive attitude to the nutrition, they would usesome methods to improve their nutritional knowledge, and then good eating behaviorwould come into being. Therefore, colleges and universities should pay more attentionto the health education, especially the nutritional education of the college femalestudents. The college should organize nutritional reference and educational activitiesabout the weight reducing, beauty treatment. At the same time, the college should also encourage the canteen to employ some nutritionists or some dietitians. The canteencan introduce nutritional breakfast; improve the service quality of the catering in thecollege. At last further advance the nutritional condition of the college students andthe over all health level of the female college students.
