Research objective:To study the whole status of critical thinking disposition of nursing teachers in Jilinprovince,to analysing and discuss the factors which are related to the critical thinkingdisposition of nursing teachers deeply. Puting forwards effective suggestions acorrding to theresearch results from current situation and providing theoretic basis for the improvment ofnursing teachers’teaching ability and scientific research ability so as to enhance the criticalthinking ability of college students.Subjects and Methods:The study was carried out by method of cluster sampling. The research of currentsituation was conducted among97nursing teachers from6universities in Jilin province byusing the method of questionnaire. The questionnaire included two parts, the first part was“the research of basic situation”,the scond part was the critical thinking dispositioninventory-Chinese version (CTDI-CV). The data from questionnaire were processed bySPSS software package(version l9.0) and software package (Epidata3.1). Descriptives test,one-way ANOVA and multiple linear regression are also the methods which were used inthis research.Research results:The total scores of nursing teacher’s critical thinking disposition are303.59±26.03,indicating nursing teachers have positive disposition towards critical thinking. Among thescores of these sub-scales, analyticity ranks in the first palce, the score of truth-seeking is thelowest one, the score is39.42±5.70. The scores of the other five sub-scales are more than40.The tatal scores and the difference of the respective sub-scales scores of critical thinkingdisposition for nursing teachers with different ages,working years,education,professionaltitle have a statistic meaning. Taking part in attending advanced study,and academicactivities and reading ability can help nursing teachers’critical thinking ability developed.Research conclusion:Although nursing teachers do have a positive performance torwards critical thinkingdisposition, they do not have a solid foundation of the peculiarity performance of criticalthinking disposition. So they need improve it. Nursing teachers demonstrate strength inanalyticity,inquisitiveness and systematicity,but lack of truth-seeking, open-mindedness andCT self-confidence.The training and reading habit have a certain inflence on the criticalthinking disposition of nursing teachers.To advise that the manager of universities lay stresson the importance of critical thinking, and provide the development space to enhance thenursing teachers’critical thinking ability.
