Background: Transthyretin（TTR）can react sensitively nutritional and metabolicchanges in the body. Has proved the TTR event associated with a variety of diseases.The TTR event with abnormal expression of tumor cells in cancer patients serum,choose a new tumor marker for us to provide the possibility.Objective: The purpose of this study is make a Medical Recapitulate on thecorrelation between TTR basic structure, basic physiological function and a variety oftumors through the literature review.Methods:(1)Using ’transthyretin’,’pancreatic carcinoma’ and ’tumor’ as key words,separately or jointly Apply CNKI retrieve, Articles Full-text Database, Pubmed andSpringerlink database retrieval system to retrieve about100literature between2000-01and2013-12.(2)The inclusion and excluding criteria:1)basic structure;2)basic physiological function;3Protein detection method;4)regulation of transthyretinand tumor. According to the inclusion criteria, select50literatures and finally include40literatures in the analysis.Results: Transthyretin（TTR）is a kind of four dimer structure proteins, mainlydistributed in the plasma and cerebrospinal fluid of the body. The main function ofTTR in human body is to participate in the transfer of thyroxine and retinol, maintainbody retinol, thyroxine and retinol binding protein at normal level. TTR event cansensitively make reaction on the nutritional status and some pathological changes.TTR had been proved relevant to a variety of diseases, such as familial transthretinamyloidosis, diabetes, etc. Many studies have shown that the expression of TTR in awide variety of tumor plasma and tumor cells of patients is abnormal. At the sametime, it was proved that the Genetic structure of TTR exist deficiency inhepatocellular carcinoma cells.Therefore, the growth of TTR can be inhibited intransfection hepatocellular carcinoma cells in vitro. Conclusions: TTR is one of the protein exist in tumor can show abnormalexpression.It is considerable to take TTR as one candidate of tumor marker.Thefunction of TTR that inhibit tumor in the liver cancer may become one of thetherapeutic targets of liver cancer in the future.
