Studies On Evaluation Of The Efficacy And Satisfaction Of Vertigo (Essential Hypertension) TCM Clinical Pathway

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and satisfaction of vertigo (essential hypertension,EH) TCM clinical pathway and to provide practical evidence for the furtherimplementation, improvement and application.Methods: A multicenter, randomized controlled clinical study was conducted.90EHpatients were randomized into two groups, which are the path group, treated with Chinesemedicine clinical path form (46cases), and non-path group, treated with the traditionaltherapy(44cases). After the completion of treatment (up to8weeks), the improvement ofclinical symptoms, blood pressure effective rate, compliance rate, compliance time, theevaluation of course of the treatment, therapeutic effect and satisfaction were comparedbetween the path group and non-path group.Results: The improvement total effective rate of Chinese medicine syndrome in thepath group was90.48%, and that of non-path group was80.49%(P=0.0062<0.01). Thetotal effective rate of reduce blood pressure in the path group (88.10%) was significantlyhigher than that in non-path group (73.17%, P=0.028<0.05). The blood pressurecompliance rate between the path group and non-path group were80.95%VS68.29%(P=0.046<0.05). The mean blood pressure compliance time of path group (39.16±6.49d)was less than the time of non-path group (46.32±7.91d, P=0.029<0.05).The satisfactionwith therapeutic effect,the course of treatment and diagnosis and treat serve in path group（97.62%，92.86%and95.24%）were higher than in non-path group(87.80%,78.05%and 80.49%;P=0.013<0.05,P=0.023<0.05,P=0.012<0.05).In the path group, the patients thatcan accept the path therapy accounted for95.24%.Conclusion: TCM clinical path of vertigo (EH) can significantly improve the clinicalsymptoms and blood controlling rate; reduce blood pressure with a higher patientsatisfaction. Based on this, it can be widely used clinically.
