Evaluation And Analysis On The Phonetic Effects Of Older Cleft Palate After Operated By Velum Levator Reconstruction With CSL

Objective：To study the phonetic features of older patients with cleft palate preoperativeand postoperative by CSL.To explore the phonetic effects of cleft palate by velumlevator reconstruction。Methods：Choose forty-two cleft palate patients,who were selected in our Department formOctober2010to October2012,including23male patients and19female patients withthe mean age of13.6years(range,10to16years).All patients were divided into twogroup by random,Twenty patients in group A were operated by Velum Levatorreconstruction and twenty-two patients in group B were operated by Von langenbeck.The patients who were operated by the same doctors should review after6months.Thirty normal children were selected by random as normal group C,including16male children and14female children with the mean age of12.9years(range,10to16years).The clinical application of CSL to record the first threeformant frequency(F1、F2、F3) of [a]、[e]、[i]、[o]、[u].To compare the differenceof formant values between anterior and posterior surgery. At the same time, Toevaluate the phonetic intelligibility of cleft palate patients by Huaxi medicaluniversity mandarin compose test form.Results:All patients showed clinical Ⅰstage heal. The voice clear ratio of cleft palatewho in group A is73.3%, in group B is40.0%and in group C is93.3%.The averagevalue ofF2,F3in [e]、[i]、[o]、[u] of all patients in group A was obvious higher thanin group B(P<0.05).But the average value of F1was no obvious differences(P>0.05).The average value of F1, F2, F3in [a] have no any differences among the threegroups(P>0.05).Conclusions:The older cleft palate who were operated by Levator muscle reconstruction candevelop the function of the soft palate muscle,and obvious improve the patient’s pronunciation what was better than Von langen beck. By CSL to voice spectrumanalysis, it can correctly evaluate patients with cleft palate surgery effect.
