Yangzheng Xiaoji Combined With Involved-field Three Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy Foy Elderly Patients With Stage Ⅲ Non-small-cell Lung Cancer

ObjectiveTo observe the short-term efficacy of yanzheng xiaoji combined withinvolved field three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy for elderly patientswith stage III non-small cell lung cancer, influence on the quality of life inpatients with immune function. To provide the clinical basis for the treatment ofelderly patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer.MethodsCollected in April2012March2013Tai’an City Tumor Hospital Departmentof Radiation Oncology admitted with full follow-up data of62elderly patientswith stage Ⅲ non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), including46cases ofsquamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma in16cases, Ⅲ of A22cases, ⅢB of40cases, X-Ray typing:43cases of central lung cancer, peripheral lung cancer19cases.62patients are randomly divided into observation group and controlgroup. Control group of30patients:6MV-X-ray, involving the wildthree-dimensional conformal radiotherapy,90%PTV2Gy/5times/week,32-35,64-70Gy total. Observation group of32patients: treatment on the basisof the control group, and at the same time in the first day of the radiotherapyto Oral Yangzheng consumer product capsules3/time,3times/day, threemeals a day orally until one month after the end of radiotherapy. We canevaluate the target dose and normal organs that may be injured by x-ray bydose-volume histogram (DVH) and all levels isodose distributionat. Accordingto the review of chest CT as the standard in accordance with the change of thesum of the maximum diameter of the RECIST criteria measurable lesions before and after treatment to evaluate the lesion remission. Acute radiationinjury can be evaluated by Application RTOG early radiological responseevaluation criteria. Improvement of clinical symptoms can be evaluatedaccording to Chinese medicine clinical research in the book of "Guidelines forprimary lung cancer symptoms grading scale evaluation. We can evaluate thepatient’s physical conditions and quality of life (quality of life, QOL) changesby behavior Status Scale (Karnofsky Performance Status, KPS) Immune functionbefore and after treatment can be evaluated by flow cytometry of peripheralblood T cell subsets and natural killer cells (nature killer, NK) proportionalchange in evaluation.ResultsAll patients completed treatment uninterrupted. The observation groupefficiency (90.6%) was slightly higher efficiency (76.7%), but not statisticallysignificant (P>0.05). Two sets of radiation esophagitis and radiationpneumonitis were low and not statistically significant (P>0.05). The rate ofimprovement of clinical symptoms and quality of life of the observation groupwas significantly higher (P <0.05). Observation group after the CD4+/CD8+compared with the control group improved significantly (P <0.05).Conclusion1. The main treatment for elderly stage III non-small cell lung cancershould be based on the combined therapy of radiation therapy.2. The involved field three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy with localtumor control rate, the advantage of low radiation toxicity, especially for elderlypatients.3. Elimination capsules can improve the quality of life of patients, improvepatient anorexia, fatigue, nausea, bloating and other symptoms, improveimmune function.4. The therapy product elimination capsules joint involving wildthree-dimensional conformal radiotherapy for elderly Ⅲ non-small cell lungcancer is an effective treatment.
