Virtual reality technology is combined with computer technology, multimedia technologyand the image technology, as one of the emerging computer technology. The normal activityof human disease is hindered by hip disease, although the treatment developed has a history ofover one hundred years, but until the computer technology intervention to develop rapidly,with the help of virtual reality technology of the hip surgery research more and more getpeopleā€™s attention.This paper is based on Virtual Reality technology, and the key technology of hipreplacement is studied based human CT data. Firstly, based on the data collection ofvolunteers, according to the clinical test requirements, the hip3D model is established,obtaining femoral neck-shaft angle; According to the size of neck-shaft angle, hipreplacement of hip prosthesis is established using the curve and surface modeling algorithm.Secondly, Based on consideration to the complexity of the model design and simulationtimeliness, using quadric error algorithm the model optimization processing, at the same timewill curvature parameter is introduced into the algorithm, reducing the acetabulum lined withchoice of error. Thirdly, OBB collision detection algorithm is tested under virtual environmentsurgical instruments and the model of the collision between the problems of convex hullalgorithm improved the OBB collision detection structure bounding box tightness; At thesame time will mass-spring model is increased to model simulation, and experiment based onOpenGL. Lastly, using interactive software EON develops new node including picks andosteotomy etc; Basing on the EON established a simple simulation demonstration system,using the optimized model and joined the collision and pickup and the hip intra-operativeprosthetic replacement operation is completed.A hip model scientific and reliable is established in this paper by the experiment results,and the entity model mesh optimization technique makes the simulation system more likely tooperation. The simulation system software design also has the characteristics of simple easyto use and provide the reference the hip replacement demonstration.
