Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and application value of DC-CIK cells therapy combined with TACE and MWA in treatment of primary hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods:43patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma treated with TACE and MWA and the tumor showing no active focus and remote metastasis validated by imageology examination were enrolled. The patients were divided into experimental group and control group according to whether accepted the cell therapy or not. There were14cases in the experimental group and29cases in the control group. The phenotypic changes of immune cells in experimental group during the cultivation period was observed, evaluated the immunologic function, AFP, quality of life, improvement of symptoms on1th course of cell therapy. Observed side effects of cell therapy in experiment group. Compared the disease recurrence rate and PFS in two groups.Results:①The proportion of effective DC and CIK cells in experimental group increased significantly after cultured in vitro (p<0.05);②Immunity function after treatment in experimental group increased significantly (p<0.05);③The decreased level of AFP has no difference in two groups.(p>0.05);④Symptoms and KPS score improved significantly after1-cycle cell therapy in experiment group (p<0.05).⑤The fever appeared after cell therapy can be spontaneous regression or resolved after treatment.⑥Disease median recurrent time, and progression-free survival period increased significantly (p<0.05), recurrence rate had no obvious difference in two group (p>0.05).Conclusion:The proportion of effective DC and CIK cells increased significantly after cultured in vitro in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma. DC-CIK cells therapy combined with TACE and MWA on primary hepatocellular carcinoma is safe and effective, it can improve immune function, quality of life, body immune suppression,and delay the recurrence time after minimally invasive surgery for hepatocellular carcinoma.6Figures,13Tables,67References.
