Objective:To observe the comparative results of Cemented and uncemented hemiarthroplasty for femoral neck fractures in the patients of advanced ageMethods:Collected53patients with femoral neck fractures from2010.9to2012.3in the affiliated hospital of chengdu university of TCM who were operated Cemented or uncemented hemiarthroplasty, total of53hip. According to the operation method, patients were divided into the cemented and uncemented group. Cemented group were23cases.with23hips, including male9cases and female14cases;Uncemented group were30cases, including male11cases and female19cases. The time of follow-up of postoperative from6to12months, average8.45months. Compared operation time, blood loss in operative and postoperative, postoperative complications and hip function according to Harris score, etcResults:(1) Cemented and Uncemented group comparison:No deaths happened during the follow-up age;(2) The operation time comparison:uncemented group had the advantage on operation time compared to the cemented group, two groups had a significant difference (P<0.05).(3). blood loss: Cemented group spended an average of734.57mL and uncemented group loss blood was684. OOmL, compared two groups had a significant difference (P<0.05);(4)Postoperative complications:17.39%incidence of postoperative complications in the cemented group, and the uncemented group with46.67%, two groups have a significant difference (P<0.05).(5)Harris scoring comparison:compared two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05). All patients in the hospital had not occurrred infection of incision, no prosthesis loosening and renovations occurred during the follow-up period. Conclusion:Clinical effect were more satisfied in older femoral neck fractures with Cemented and uncemented hemiarthroplasty. Compared joint function, the earlier recovery can be achieved in the cemented group and less complications in postoperative; Type of uncemented prosthesis operation has the advantage of simple and safe operation. Recovery of joint function (Harris score) in two methods had no obvious difference.
