Blood is an important part of the body and closely related to human health. With the development of optical fiber technology and the enhancement of people’s requirement to blood related detection technology, more and more attention has been paid to the accuracy of the blood flow velocity measurement.Now, methods for detecting the blood flow velocity has evolved from implantable detection to non-invasive measurement. Detection target starts to extend from large blood vessels areas to superficial skin and microcirculation of tissue, Non-invasive measurement is enjoyed by the domestic and intermational as a new concept. However, aster instruments transmit power are limited for the location where blood exist is special, for security reasons, In order to implement the accurate measurement of blood flow velocity, structure design problem of the sensor system need to be resolved.The main work accomplished in this paper:the domestic and overseas current research situation in the fileld of the detection of blood flow velocity is analyzed, and these applications of optical fiber sensing technology in its area are presented; a new sensor through the comprehensive investigation of technologies such as non-invasive measurement, Doppler Shift, and beat frequency interference is designed; The right laser are selected to detect blood flow velocity and in the subcutaneous finite depth blood vessel, the character of Doppler shift signal and the number of interference fringe and blood flow velocity and so on may be obtioned from the sensor. Finally, it use the right device used to amplify signal and serial interface to research the key technologies what affect the receiving of the weak signal by experiment and the improved measure is fiven.
