Relationship Between The Acute Cerebral Infarction And MMP-9

Object: To observe the acute phase of cerebral infarctiondynamic changes of serum matrix metalloproteinase-9(Matrixmetalloproteinase-9, MMP-9) levels, to explore trends in thecondition of cerebral infarction, to assess their clinical value inthe prognosis of cerebral infarction.Method：We elected65cases of the acute cerebral infarctionpatients. We taken5ml of fasting venous blood at the onset of the24h,7days and14days. We selected30cases of people ascontrol group, which healthy people in the same age group. Weassaiede the level of MMP-9by ELISA (Enzyme-LinkedImmunoSorbent Assay, ELISA). Bathel Index (BI) was used toassesse patients’ daily activities of living. The study group werefollowed up for3months, then evaluate the BI of them after3months. The standard which judge the the prognosis of cerebralinfarction: it is divided into poor prognosis which BI less than75points, it is divided into good prognosis which BI more than75points. SPSS17.0statistical software was used for statisticalprocessing. To observe the the disease symptom severity andrecovery speed of the study group and track the sequelae legacywhetRheers upaltt：ients got.1. The level of MMP-9, which was the acute cerebral infarctionwas275.71±20.37within24hours of onset. It was442.21±19.95at7thday of onset. It was192.25±25.30at14thday of onset. Thelevel of MMP-9, which was the he control group was145.25±25.20.Results showed that the incidence of the control group and study group were significantly different by statistical chemical treatment.(2) At the3rdmonth of onset, among24cases with betterprognosis and15cerebral infarction cases there were cases withworse prognosis. Comparison of the two groups of patients serumMMP-9levels found good prognosis group onset24h, the incidence7d, serum MMP-9levels were at the onset14d245.07±25.36,345.68±21.17,172.69±25.75, the poor prognosis group ofserum MMP-9levels were324.65±27.92,440.19±23.38,224.23±25.89. Results showed that the level of MMP-9in the betterprognosis group and worse prognosis were significantly different bystatistical chemical treatment.Conclusion：1. MMP-9is the more sensitive injury indicator in acutecerebral infarction.2. The elevated level of MMP-9in acute cerebral infarctionhave association with the prognosis of cerebral infarction.
