| Objective：To study the efficacy of total elbow joint replacement in the treatment of kneeosteoarthritis.Methods:Retrospective analysis of hospitalized patients undergoing total elbow jointreplacement treatment for serious knee arthritis, China-Japan Union Hospital ofJilin University from February2007to October2007, and following up in16patients as the research object. all in the same way of surgery in patients withchoosing total elbow joint replacement. Preoperative and postoperativepatients are measured with elbow HSS score (the hospital for special surgeryscoring system) and elbow motion measurement, snapping the data usingSPSS20.0software for statistical analysisResults:Arthritis postoperative patients are follow-up, follow-up time of5~22months(16.5months), found no significant postoperative complications. Foot innervation area of one postoperative patients have numbness, trophic nervetreatment was given3days and numbness feeling disappear.The remainingcases no feel obvious discomfortable. The elbow pain of all postoperativepatients disappear and the elbow joint motions get improved significantly.Theelbow joint mobility can meet the needs of the daily life and work. Preoperativeand postoperative elbow HSS score and elbow joint mobility have obviouslyimproved, P <0.05, with statistical significance.Conclusion:1elbow joint replacement in the treatment of severe knee arthritis, short-termfollow-up to get satisfactory results, in reducing elbow pain, restore elbowmotion and so on curative effect is distinct.2the effect of elbow joint replacement in rheumatoid elbow higher than effectof traumatic elbow arthritis.3at any time between surgeons, rehabilitation therapists and patients tomaintain good communication and close follow-up is also indispensable.4for every patients should follow the principle of "individual treatment",specific issues specific analysis, develop a safe, feasible and effective treatmentis the key of recovery. |
