Objective Discussion on syndrome element characteristics of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and features of sublingual collaterals, provide a reference for the clinical syndrome differentiation and treatment.Methods By using the method of syndrome differentiation, formulate unified questionnaires, these were conducted on82cases of PCOS patients, to carry on the statistical analysis of the data, get the syndrome elements characteristics of PCOS, and detected serum hormone, height, body weight and other index of patients. Observed the sublingual collaterals characteristics of PCOS patients, compared with30cases of normal group, and study the correlation between the syndrome elements and sublingual collaterals.Results (1) Characteristics of syndrome distribution: the syndrome elements of disease location mainly in liver and uterus, followed by kidney, spleen, gastric, lung; the main disease syndrome is stagnation of Qi, wet, cold, phlegm, etc.(2)Findings from a study results of the miscellaneous disease syndromes:the inclusion is more common, simple virtual or solid were less; syndrome in liver and uterus is often appear in the same time; empirical syndromes mixed qi stagnation with wet phase is the most, deficiency syndromes and miscellaneous had no significant difference, and syndromes miscellaneous is Qi stagnation and Qi deficiency syndrome is the most.(3)The sublingual collateral characters of PCOS, with growth coarsening, tortuosity, the color purple or purple black.Conclusion Liver, uterus is the main disease syndrome elements of PCOS, Characteristics of PCOS real disease syndrome is stagnation of Qi, wet, cold, phlegm, deficiency of Yang, deficiency of qi is more common f deficiency syndrome. There were more intermingled deficiency and excess syndromes of PCOS; pure virtual and solid syndromes are rare. PCOS patients with collaterals have changes with different degree, there is a certain correlation between syndrome factor and sublingual venae.
