Recently, diagnosis and treatment as a new method in the Formulaology of TCM has been widely used in Chinese medicine because of its high flexibility and clinical practicality. The method of diagnosis and treatment, which is characterized by the rich clinical experience, chooses the most effective prescription combined with extensive knowledge, and therefore it is very significant in its easy application and curative effect. This topic has carried on a more profound elaboration to the method of diagnosis and treatment in the Formulaology of TCM. Meanwhile under the guidance of the method of diagnosis and treatment in the Formulaology of TCM we do a standardized and scientific research on Guizhi decoction syndrome. By modern statistical methods, we carry on systematic induction and collation to collect282effective cases of Guizhi decoction from modern journal and the ancient medical works, and then summarize main certificate, secondary certificate, tongue and pulse reference range of Guizhi decoction. With factor analysis, study Guizhi decoction syndrome to conclude the typical syndromes of Guizhi decoction, and then compare them with that in classical medical books. Via Systematically theoretical analysis, we hope clarify the cause, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of Guizhi decoction syndrome and the rule of add and subtract of Guizhi decoction, in order to provide the theory basis for better application of Guizhi decoction and the accurate clinical diagnosis.
