Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the great treasure of the China, it is the experience of people in fighting disease for thousands of years. With the guidance of the theories of prescription compatibility, compatible herbal’Guangzao-Borneolum’ was selected to study. The thesis analysed the compound of Choerospondiatis Fructus in rat plasma, and then studied the influence of borneol to protocatechuic acid (PA) in model rats in the pharmacokinetics. The chief contributions of the author are as follows:1. The absorption of Guangzao (Choerospondiatis Fructus) in the blood of rat after oral administration was analysed by HPLC method. The results showed that protocatechuic acid (PA), gallic acid (GA) and5-hydroxymethylfurfural(5-HMF) were the main compound of Choerospondiatis Fructus that could be detected in rat plasma.2. A high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for analysis of the protocatechuic acid (PA) in the rat plasma was established. Blood Stasis model was made. Then the pharmacokinetics of PA in rats after oral administration of PA was compared with those rats after oral administration of PA plus borneol. The results showed that PA was in two-compartment open model in the model rats. These results showed that borneol could significantly influence some pharmacokinetic parameters of PA such as increasing t1/2α, AUC, decreasing CL/F. All the results demonstrated that borneol could increase the concentration of PA, prolong the effective time of it in vivo and improve the bioavailability of it.3. Study of the pharmacokinetics of bornyl protocatechuate in Blood Stasis model rats, results showed that bornyl protocatechuate was in two-compartment open model in the model rats, and the tmax was45±3.877min, t1/2α was25.902±1.983min, t1/2β was69.075±0.866min, V1/F was31.943±1.754L/kg, CL/F was0.32±0.007L/min/kg.4. The correlation analysis among the significantly changing ingredients in serum was achieved for model rat serum while administrated bornyl protocatechuate, respectively based on the soft of SPSS, NM58were preliminarily established for the effective substances of bornyl protocatechuate.
