| Objective: To investigate the expression of serum microRNA-21(miRNA-21) in normal human and patients with colorectal cancer and toinvestigate the expression of miRNA-21in cancer tissues and theircorresponding adjacent non-tumor tissues. To evaluate the correlation ofclinic pathologic factors with miRNA-21level in colorectal cancer. Methods: Real-time RT-PCR was used to detect the expression ofmiRNA-21in serum of normal human and patients with colorectal cancerand in cancer tissues and their corresponding adjacent nontumor tissues.Result:1.The expression level of serum miRNA-21in patients withcolorectal cancer was significantly higher than that of normal human;2. The expression level of miRNA-21in colorectal cancer tissueswas significantly higher than their corresponding adjacent nontumortissues.3. The expression level of miRNA-21in middle-late stage (â…¢ andâ…£) of colorectal cancer tissues was significantly higher than early stage(â… and â…¡) colorectal cancer;4. The expression level of miRNA-21in poorly differentiated tumortissues was significantly higher than middle-high differentiation;5. The expression level of miRNA-21in colorectal cancer withlymph node metastasis was significantly higher than those without lymphnode metastasis.Conclusion:miRNA-21was over-expressed in tumor tissues and serum of colorectal cancer patients and may be associated with theoccurrence. |
