Objectives. Observing the changes of serum GGT、CysC、3-NT lever and theinsulin resistance in obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome with type2diabetes,to investigate OSAHS with intermittent hypoxia effects on the body’soxidative stress and insulin resistance.Methods. Type2diabetes patients who underwent polysomngraphy(PSG)during hospitalized in endocrine department from2012to2014wereretrospectively investigation.OSAHS with T2DM group (group OM) was81,simple type2diabetes group (group SDM) was118,as well as41normalhealthy individuals as conttols (group NC).We compare the general clinicalinformation(age, gender proportion, smoking habits and drinking habitset.),PSG data(AHI、ODI、LPO2、MPO2), and serum oxidative stress factorslevers(GGT、CysC、3-NT and CRP etc.) among the three groups, furthercorrelation analysis were carried on.Results.(1)The results showed that gender proportion, age, smokinghabits, drinking habits among groups were no statistical difference(bothP>0.05), diabetes duration is no statistical difference between the group OM and SDM (P>0.05).The serum average GGT,CysC,3-NT lever and HOMA-Cpeptide of group OM were significantly higher than those of group SDM andNC(P<0.01).(2)Pearson correlation analysis showed that the serum GGT,CysC,3-NT and HOMA-C peptide associated with sleep apnea, low oxygenindex (P<0.05).(3)Partial correlation analysis and Logistic regressionanalysis after adjustment for BMI, WC, blood pressure, FPG, TG and otherfactors, revealed that Sleep apnea oxygen index(AHI、ODI、LPO2、MPO2)were still related with serum oxidative stress factors levers (GGT、CysC、3-NT) and insulin resistance.(4)The prevalence of cardiovascular disease anddiabetic nephropathy, retinopathy, peripheral neuropathy were significantlyhigher than the SDM group (all P <0.05),Serum GGT, CysC,3-NT levels ofsubgroup OM merger complications were significantly higher than subgroupwithout complications, suggest OSAHS may through oxidative stress promotethe development and progression of Diabetes complications.Conclusion. serum levels of oxidative stress in OSAHS with T2DMpatients were significantly increased.Intermittent hypoxia in OSAHS havecorrelation with level of serum GGT,CysC,3-NT and insulin resistanceindex, independent of BMI,WC,blood pressure,FPG,TG and otherconfounding factors.OSAHS may through oxidative stress play an importantrole in the development of diabetes and its complications.
