Objective To study the protein expression level of HCN2channe1inmuscles of right atrium in rheumatic heart disease patients with atrialfibrillation. Methods Forty-two rheumatic heart disease patients with mitral valvestenosis were divide into atrial fibrillation (AF) group (n=23) and sinus rhythm(SR) group (n=19) according to basic rhythm. Right atrial appendages wereobtained underwent cardiac valve replacement surgery in two groups. Theprotein expression was measured with Western bolt. The correlation with the leftand right atrial dimension, mitral valve area and cardiothoracic ratio were also analyzed with the Linear Correlation. Results Comparing to SR group, the protein expression level of HCN2channe1was significantly higher in AF group [(0.45±0.19) vs.(0.24±0.12),P<0.05]. The protein expression level was not only significantly negativelycorrelated with mitral valve area, but also positive correlated with cardiothoracicratio. However, it was unrelated to the left and right atrial dimension. Conclusion The overexpression of HCN2channe1in atrial fibrillationpatients with rheumatic heart disease may participate in the progress of atrialfibrillation development, which reveals the molecular mechanism....
