Objective: To detect the expression levels of Annexin A7in breast cancerand breast fibroadenoma, to analyze the relationship between the clinicalpathological factors, screening for providing clinical significance for thediagnosis, treatment, evaluation of breast cancer invasion and metastasis and thescreening of high risk patients. Methods: To collect the specimens of100cases of breast cancer, underwent modified radical mastectomy of breast cancer, and are the FirstAffiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University archive case. The patientswere female, the average age was50.4±8.2(29~73), the median age was44.5years old. All samples of theexperimental study in the department of pathologywere confirmed by postoperative pathology of breast invasive ductal carcinoma, and combined with the related history werediagnosed with primary breastcancer, the patients were selected in the preoperative did not receive anytreatment(including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and radiotherapy etc.). Inaddition,19breast fibroadenoma tissue sections from the First AffiliatedHospital of Guangxi Medical University proved by operation and pathologywere collected. The expression of Annexin A7in breast cancer andbreast fibroadenoma were detected by immunohistochmistry. The data were analyzed by software of SPSS16.0. Theχ2test was applied to compare theexpression of Annexin A7in breast cancer and breast fibroadenoma tissues, andcarries on single factor analysis. Logistic regression was applied to multiplefactors analysis to judge the independent risk factor of influencing theexpression of Annexin A7.Results: In100tissues of primary breast cancer,67tissues with AnnexinA7protein positive expression, the positive expression of Annexin A7proteinwas67.0%, in19tissues of breast fibroadenoma,5tissues with Annexin A7protein positive expression, the positive expression of Annexin A7protein was26.3%, the positive expression rate of Annexin A7protein in breast cancertissue was significantly higher than in the breast fibroadenoma tissue, there hasstatistically significant differences between the two groups (χ2=11.059,P=0.001).The expression of Annexin A7in breast cancer tissue has nothing todo with age(χ2=0.455, P=0.500), menstrual status(χ2=3.009, P=0.083),tumor size(χ2=2.679, P=0.102), TNM staging(χ2=1.483, P=0.223), ER(χ2=1.813, P=0.178), PR(χ2=3.182, P=0.074)and Her-2(χ2=2.649,P=0.266);whereas it had some association with lymph node metastasis(χ2=10.880, P=0.004), histological grading(χ2=8.036, P=0.018), p53(χ2=8.575, P=0.003)and clinical type(χ2=7.097, P=0.008). Simple correlativeanalysis with statistic significance were then included in multivariate analysisby logistic regression models. Lymph node metastasis was found is theindependent risk factor of the expression of Annexin A7(P=0.010).Conclusion:1、The increase expression of Annexin A7may be as an factorin promoting the transformation of breast benign to malignant tumor;2、Thedetection of the expression levels of Annexin A7is helpful to provide clinicalsignificance for the diagnosis, treatment, evaluation of breast cancer invasion and metastasis and the Screening of high risk patients;3、Annexin A7may be apotential biological marker of prognostic of breast cancer.
