Objective:To observe the effects of the diaphragm biofeedback training (DBT) on lower esophageal sphincter pressure, tension of crural diaphragm at resting, tension of crural diaphragm at deep inspiration, as well as the improvement on the patients with positive symptoms. Discuss the curative effect of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) through diaphragm biofeedback training.Methods:60patients were enrolled and divided randomly into PPI(Rabeprazole20mg, once daily) group; PPI with DBT (15miniuts, twice daily) group and DBT(15miniuts, twice daily) group. Patients in PPI with DBT group had DBT during PPI treatment, while patients in PPI group just excepted PPI treatment. The last group were purely exciting DBT. LESP、Dia-Ao、Dia-Am、 GerdQ(Gastroesophageal reflux disease question) scores were respectively measured before treatment,2weeks later,4weeks later and8weeks later. Results:There were no significant difference in LESP、Dia-Ao and Dia-Am in PPI group. Dia-Ao increased effectively in PPI with DBT group and DBT group after2or4weeks (18.89±0.58vs16.90±0.40, P<0.05),(25.39±1.15vs16.64±0.39, P<0.05),(18.89±0.58vs16.63±0.34, P<0.05),(25.40±1.15vs16.64±0.39, P<0.05). Meantime GerdQ scores dropped obviously in those groups (6.10±0.31vs7.10±0.72, P<0.05),(6.60±0.68vs7.10±0.72,P<0.05),(6.60±0.68vs11.25±1.80, P<0.05).Conclusion:DBT combined with PPI can significantly enhance the Dia-Ao, control patients symptoms and meanwhile improve quality of life in a short time, which brings forward a new therapeutic approach for patients of GERD.
