Since the reform and opening up, the level of China’s economic construction and people’s living standards has improved significantly. However, as we focus too much on enhancing the economic development level, the development of many regions are based on the simple pursuit of economic efficiency, ignoring the comprehensive and coordinated development of the whole society, especially the development of utility service. As an important part of public service facilities, the allocation of healthcare facilities is a relevant factor affecting people’s health and stability and harmony of the society. Compared with urban areas, the healthcare facilities system in rural areas is backward relatively because of long-term urban-rural dual structure. As a carrier of health services, healthcare facilities’ planning and construction are mainly concentrated in urban areas, and are neglected in rural areas. The thesis is on research of current allocation and usage status of healthcare facilities of Guan County, Shandong Province, including county hospitals within the scope of the jurisdiction of Guan County, township hospitals and village clinics. The thesis summarizes and analyzes the primary data gained through field research and surveys, and compares the data with the existing norms, standards and needs of the residents to make clear the existing problem of allocation of healthcare facilities of Guan County. On this basis, the thesis studies the allocation target, content and pattern, explores the allocation indicators of towns and villages’health facilities at all levels, and makes an attempt to provide a reference for the configuration of health facilities to such towns. There are some problems in the architectural design of village clinics, discovered during the research process, such as insufficient flexibility. So the thesis analyzes the functional layout and flow lines of village clinics, and tried to explore standardization plane of basic functions units of village health to fit the requirements of the residents, which have some significance in architectural design of village clinics.
