The development of the Internet continue to affect the way of people’s self-presentation and social interaction, therefore close attention was paid to this area by social psychology. From the perspective of social psychology, this research try to explore what is the role of the social network in college students’lifestyle, and how the social network site and real-life situation influence their self-presentation orientation.Research1using interpretative phenomenological analysis found that:1) Staying in the room is a common college student lifestyle, computer and network is their essential tool to support them stay at room, helping them complete life task. Deal with the problem of lack of social interaction, they using social networking sites to make it up.2) the most popular social network site among college students are Renren and Sina micro blogging. Low anonymity makes students have a sense of reality in the social network site.3) Students concerned about social networking sites have led to new media effects, social participation and political participation.4) Maintain the existing strong relationship in the social network site; create new weak ties, showing self-motivation of college students use social networking sites.Research2using a nature experiments, found that:in the situation of social network sites, Individual-oriented self of college students’self-presentation are significantly higher than their self-presentation in real-life situation.
