With the rapid development of the Internet,the users of social media accounts for 80%of the total Internet users.While college students in the use of social networking sites accounted for a high proportion.The research has discussed the impact of social networking sites on individual psychological adaptation.Including self-disclosure and self-presentation in social networking sites regards of self-esteem,depression,life satisfaction and other aspects.But there is little research to study the impact of social networking sites on college students’ subjective well-being.This study consists of three parts:(1)revised the self-evaluation of upward social comparison scale;(2)different gender and different comparison directions of personal homepage on subjective well-being;(3)internal mechanisms of the relationship between the use of social networking sites and subjective well-being,namely,the mediated role upward social comparison self-evaluation and clarity of self-concept.Finally,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)Forming the upward social comparison self-evaluation scale.It contains six projects,two dimensions.The scale has good reliability and validity.(2)The self-evaluation level of the girls in the upward social comparison was significantly higher than that of the boys.The subjects using the downward social comparison were significantly higher than those of the upward social comparison in subjective well-being.(3)Correlation analysis showed that social network site use,upward social comparison self-evaluation,self-concept clarity and subjective well-being were significantly and positively correlated with each other;and self-concept clarity was significantly and negatively correlated with upward social comparison self-evaluation and subjective well-being.(4)Social network site use was not only directly affect subjective well-being,but also indirectly affected subjective well-being through upward social comparison self-evaluation.(5)The clarity of self-concept can regulate the mediating role of social self-evaluation,and the intermediary role of social self-evaluation is especially significant in individuals with low self-concept.This study deepens the previous research results and provides a new theoretical point for the impact of social networking sites on individual psychological quality.
