The Research On The Studies Of The Japanese

Shirakawa is one of worldwide famous Sinologist. His studies in Chinese character had great influence in the field. However, besides that achievement, he also did a lot job in Chinese literature study, which had not been discussed enough in our country. This paper is based on his study of The Book of Songs, trying to figure out his special points of view.This paper is divided into three parts. Chapter one is a short summary about research results in Janpan on The Book of Songs, on which we can clearly see the position where Shirakawa stands. Chapter two is the most important part. Keep to Shirakaw’s study path, I analyzed the origins of the book of songs, the heritage of the images and choices of words. In the meantime, I compared his studies with inland scholars’, finding both strong points and shortcomings. In Chapter three, I summed up Shirakawa’s research method, hoping to offer little help to later scholars. Although the conclusion maybe not complicated, the process is still worth of digging. No matter right or faulty points in a great step in overseas Chinese literature study.
