Brahms Johannes is a famous German composer, pianist (1833-1897). He had created a large number of works, these works are rich and colorful genre, including symphonies, chamber music, piano and choral works etc.. The piano works is not his most important genre, but is all his creation beginning. Brahms was born on1833in Hamburg in Germany, it was nineteenth Century romantic works in the fashion of the times, romantic works by a wide range of promotion, swept the whole of society, as a generation of people Chopin, Schumann, Lester and so on the great romantic master also emerge in an endless stream, dedication and created many excellent works. But Brahms is a classicist, in the times of romantic sweeping the whole of society, he always follow Beethoven and other classical master, has always been the pursuit of classical spirit, advocating rational rules and structure of music, the pursuit of clarity and balance. His piano works are not like Lester’s brilliant and gorgeous, he serves Schumann and Beethoven for the model. Everyone thinks that Brahms is a great" conservative" of the romantic period. But in the surrounded by romantic tide times, the great composer, Brahms’s works are totally only with classical features? This paper will be write for his piano music op.79, two" Rhapsody" as an example, through the study of the melody, rhythm, harmony, theme, emotion,this five aspects to explore the works covered in romanticism.
