The Research Of Gude Temple In Hankou

Gude temple in Hankou is full of foreign country characteristics,this study made it as a specific target,based on the perspective of social history,combined the local records,archives and generous materials of field research.In order to emerge the full view of Gude temple and analyse the nuns and followers’ religious life and their conviction.This article has six sections,including the introduction and the conclusion.The introduction describe the topics origin,research status and my writing ideas.The chapter1gives the temple’s history,including its found and evolution,analyse the architecture style of this temple and its origin.The chapter2relate Gude temple’s faction,composition of nuns,religious life,I also discussed the management and operation,the source of income and the study of Buddhism in it. In order to reveal the situation of this temple.The chapter3I inspected women lay Buddhist’s situation and their daily religious life,from those materials I’ve got,I answered the questions that why they believe in Buddhist and how they believe in it.I analyse the characteristics of their religious life in the last of this part.The chapter4spread out the study around the women followers,from the conversation with them,the evaluation from others and their behaviors in the temple,I generalize their characteristics and their purposes of the Buddhist belief.In the conclusion,I tried to point out the defects of Gude temple,I raised some suggestions in accordance with the defects.
