The Research Of Advance Organizer In The Language Teaching Of Reading

Based on the the strategies of advance organizer, Ausubel put forward a more comprehensive teaching model about teaching organization----dvance Organizer Model. In the language reading teaching, using Advance Organizer Model can produce some good results, such as improving the classroom efficiency, inspiring students’enthusiasm for learning, cultivating students’interests in reading, and helping students form good reading habits. The emergence of Advance Organizer Model provides us with a different new way to optimize the classroom teaching. In nearly half a century, many educational experts and psychologists make unremitting efforts to study the optimization of classroom teaching and the improvement teaching effectiveness from the perspective of the advance organizer, and get many remarkable and valuable fruits. Though there are a plenty of studies about advance organizer teaching model and the combination of the Advance Organizer Model and the subject teaching, there is a little studies about how to apply the Advance Organizer Model into the language teaching reading, so we choose this topic in our paper.Today, the current situation of the language reading teaching in our country cannot make people optimistic, because the classroom teaching’s efficiency is low, learners lack interests in reading, and reading teaching lacks its corresponding teaching mode, etc. Considering these problems in the language reading teaching, we learn from the U.S. who has excellent experience of using the Advance Organizer Model in the language reading teaching, then raise some suggestions about optimizing the language reading teaching, in order to provide reference for teachers. In actual teaching, In order to get a better teaching model which can improve our teaching, teachers should pay attention to the learners’prior knowledge and encourage learners to spend more time on extracurricular reading.After analyzing the presentation of the Advance Organizers Mode and the characteristics of the language reading teaching, we found that the Advance Organizers Mode and the language reading teaching have a big meeting point in essence. Therefore, the advance organizer model is very suitable to be applied to the reading teaching. In order to improve our teaching through the advance organizers model, the paper explores the best way to combine them and this effort has the great significance on our teaching and our students. However, during the reading teaching process, the application of the advance organizer model also has some problems and limitations which still need to attract our attention..
