Miaozigou site, located in Huangqihai hilly slopes of south-centralInner Mongolia, is the most representative Miaozigou culture settlementsite in this area. This paper mainly analyzed the settlement patterns onMiaozigou sites, including:First of all, the typological research on artifacts unearthed fromMiaozigou site,There wereⅠ、Ⅱ patterns of all the artifacts,The strataare divided into two groups, the first group is early remains, second islater.Secondly, the analysis of typical relics, such as housing sites, pitsites and tombs. There were3kinds of housing sites:1)rounded squarestyel with similar length and width,2)Round vertical rectangle style withlonger length,3)Horizontal rectangle style with longer width. And theywere generally small. There were round and square pit sites. There was nopublic cemetery,tombs mainly distributed around the house, some ofhouses were found with human bones, this type of house should havetombs properties.Finally, research on Miaozigou settlement layout and characteristics.Basically according to the contour, The early houses scattered and laterones were at the same contour with the transverse distribution. Therewas no public cemetery,people were buried in the main house, somewere buried in the interior. The housing structure, function, construction methods of the early and late settlement are very similar, with littledifference in size. there were unequal distribution of cellars around thehouse.
