Baotou is located in Western Inner Mongolia, around the geographical advantage not only make it become the territory of Inner Mongolia material interchange, has become Inner Mongolia’s western, central and distributed Mongolia even the whole goods northwest to the mainland. In this paper, with1870--1945years Baotou commercial geography as the research object, try to analysis on the relationship between this period of commercial activities and related factors.The paper is divided into six parts. The introduction part mainly introduces the definition of the current research status, the research significance, research methods and related concepts; the first chapter describes the geographical environment depends on the development of commodity economy in Baotou as well as the commercial history of evolution, analyzes the influence of geographical factors on commercial development in Baotou; the second chapter begins with the fur economy in late Qing Dynasty for example, explore the development context, Baotou fur economic periods, radiation source, merchants and geographic factors play an important role in fur economy; the third chapter discusses the period of the Republic of Baotou commodity economy type, regional distribution, development and commercial street space layout; the fourth chapter in Baotou’s commercial means of transport and route conditions for the research, analyzes the relationship between water, camel transport, railway, post four commercial mode of transport and geographical conditions, and have a "because of convenient transportation diversity, transport conditions have led to modern Baotou commercial rapid prosperity" conclusion; summarizes the important contribution of geographical factors of Baotou commercial the conclusion part and the enlightenment to the modern commercial development.
