In1987Toni Morrison published immortal masterpiece Beloved, regarded as " amilestone in the history of African-American literature”. Two years later, in1989,Chinese contemporary female writer Tie Ning published her first novel, Rose Gate. whois recognized as the most female consciousness novelists. These two novels full ofsuperb narrative skills and superb art shocking show and highlight the positive femininepoint of view and different writing outlook. Although these two novels, was born in theUnited States and China, two works take on the important task of artistic and historicalmission, using a calm tone, time and space performance practices so that the worksconvey the history of women of different ethnic consciousness. Two books portraywomen actively resist all the conflicts in the mainstream society, brave struggle andhope of breaking the patriarchal social barriers, to get rid of the marginalization ofwomen. This article will be combined with the sight of the comparative literatureparallel study Comparative Literature Hermeneutics research methods and use offeminist theory, detailed comparative analysis of the female characters in the two works,trying to explore different female survival consciousness, consciousness of resistanceand self-awareness awakening, in order to achieve the focus on the fate of women.In this paper, by the composition of the introduction, body and conclusion Theintroduction section introduces the significance and value of topics and the researchideas of the thesisBody mainly consists of four parts: the first part is about the novelists and theirnovels,as well as the historical background and try to explore the intercommunity ofwomen`s status in the patriarchal societyThe second part is a comparative analysis the survival consciousness of Seth and SiQi wen. In the two novels, the hero artistic image Seth and Secretary Qiwen are indifferent cultural traditions,. However in the same patriarchal society, they face thesame difficult plight and difficult living conditions similar gender discrimination and acommon destiny tragedy.They all do their best to seek self-redemption. Their braverebel and pursuit difficult process,fully show the female survival consciousness. The third part is a comparative analysis of the consciousness of resistanceBebe Sugs and Gu ba. Babe Sugs and Gu ba struggle to fight in the parochial society.but never get rid of the cultural gender norms and order. established by the male. Theychoose passive obedience willingly play men accessories and obey any mercy of men.But this passive obedience does not mean to completely compromise, They continue tofight for the freedom and rights.The fourth part is a comparative analysis the awareness of women’s personalgrowth and maturity of the Denver and Meimei. Under the strong patriarchal socialsystem depression, Denver and Mei Mei’s self–consciousness growed from the fragileinto maturity.. The growth and maturity of the individual consciousness allows us to seedawn of the liberation of all ethnic womenThe conclusion is to appeal the ethnic women to establish subjective consciousnessand personal consciousness, emphasized the importance of collective power, constantlyin search of the dominant position of social and personal liberation. Only in this way,women can break through the barriers of the patriarchal society, to get rid of themarginalization of women and to completely escape the haze of the gender order.
