Influence Of Shakespearean Tragedies On Jin Yong’s Novels

Shakespeare is one of the most outstanding playwrights in the history of world literature. His drama broke the monopoly of the ancient Greek drama to the European drama with its unique style. He creates his own era and has a far-reaching impact on the later plays, novels and other kinds of literary genres.As the representative of the martial arts writer, Jin Yong is also known for its unique writing style. He creates a new era of Chinese martial arts creation. Many of his works have been adapted as films and teleplays and some of them have become classics on the screen. His work gain wide attention in the world.It can be said, where there are martial arts there is Jin Yong. Jin Yong’s hot has become a strange phenomenon in Chinese contemporary literature, which has attracted more and more researchers.This paper analyzed the distinctive style of Shakespearean tragedy in Jin Yong’s novels using a large number of examples and comparative analysis. And then the relationships of Shakespearean tragedy and Jin Yong’s novels were discussed. At last this paper summarized Jin Yong’s success factors and provided a developmental path for Chinese contemporary literary.This paper mainly adopted analysis and synthesis research methods. It was divided into five parts. The introductory part described the enormous influence of Shakespeare and Jin Yong’s creation in literature, pointed out Shakespearean tragedy style that Jin Yong’s martial arts and the value and significance of this paper.The second part mainly discussed from the angle of the tragic theme. Influence of Shakespeare on the creation of Jin Yong’s martial arts tragedy were given from two aspects——a wide variety of themes and intricate tragedy root.The third part mainly analyzed the combination and influence relationship between the two according to the narrative theory. That was, combinations of tragedy and comedy factors on the plot setting, tendency of non-hero character shaping and role personality center theory.The fourth part started from the view of the aesthetic pursuit, analyzed the distinctive characteristics that a universal characteristic tastes and a dramatic tendencies in order to achieve a particular aesthetic pursuit showing in the creation of the two.The last part was a summary on the basis of the above. In this part, we analyzed the success factors of Jin Yong’s martial arts, summed up the basic factors of enhancing those success factors, analyzed the bottleneck stage of contemporary Chinese literature from the performance, reason aspects, explored a optional path from the spread to the development for Chinese contemporary literary to make Chinese contemporary literature move towards the world and spread the Chinese culture.
